ABOUT SCORE
SCORE merupakan satu dari enam standing committee di CIMSA Universitas Riau, merupakan singktan dari Standing Committee On Research Exchange. SCORE bergerak di dua bidang yaitu, Research ( Penelitian ) dan Exchange (pertukaran mahasiswa kedokteran ke luar negri).
SCORE memberikan kesempatan yang unik bagi mahasiswa kedokteran untuk memiliki pengalaman penelitian klinik maupun pra-klinik di negara-negara lain serta kesempatan melakukan penelitian di luar negeri berkontribusi dalam mengembangkan profesionalitas dan juga memperluas pola pikir mahasiswa yang mengikutinya. Program pertukaran penelitian ini akan memperluas gambaran mengenai bidang penelitian, pendidikan kedokteran, pelayanan kesehatan, dan etika yang berbeda-beda di setiap negara terhadap mahasiswa tersebut.
SCORE juga memberikan banyak pengetahuan dan pengalaman kepada member-nya untuk meningkatkan kegiatan akademik dan untuk mencapai manfaat pendidikan dari ilmu praktikal maupun teoritikal. Serta untuk memperluas wawasan mahasiswa kedokteran, memberikan mereka kesempatan untuk mengalami pendekatan yang berbeda dalam penelitian medis, pendidikan kedokteran, dan sistem perawatan kesehatan.

SCORE dilokal dipimpin oleh seorang LORE (Local Officer of Research Exchange) yang bertugas untuk mengawasi segala bentuk kegiatan yang ada di SCORE agar berjalan sesuai dengan ketentuan yang di amanahkan dari CIMSA nasional untuk memperkenalkan SCORE dimasyarakat umum.

ABOUT RESEARCH EXCHANGE
The program which SCORE organize is Reseach Exchange program. It is the program where students can participate in doctor’s reseach. Since it is an exchange program, so the students can participate in other countries’ doctor’s research. In this case, SCORE from Indonesia made a contract with other countries’ SCORE and it can be in 2 kind of froms, such as:
Bilateral contract, which is two countries which involved in a contract can send student to the country involved without have to pay anything. The payment will be arrange by SCORE in which country they came from.
Unilateral contract, the system like summer school which only one country who sent the students abroad with have to pay for the living and tuition fee.
Most of the participants are medical students, but some countries also send out students who study health sciences or biochemistry. The students usually come for 4 or 6 weeks, but some of them can even fit a 6-months project into their curricula. The student is supposed to have some basic knowledge on the chosen topic, but the level of knowledge and the practical experience varies. Students are advised to contact a professor or researcher at the home university to help them to prepare for their Research Exchange and to help them obtain recognition for their exchange.
What to do? We would like to ask student to offer a project for a foreign English speaking medical student for 4 weeks up to 3 months. Unfortunately this period cannot be longer for many countries, due to time constraint of curricula. The project should fall into one of 3 categories. Furthermore it should meet the objective and definition mentioned above. In addition, it should be concluded by a report, written or oral.
